Privacy Policy
Introduction
This privacy policy applies to legacybeachhomes.com.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available on their website.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third‑party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This helps us recognize and approve any follow‑up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. We may also use third‑party service providers located outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) to process your information. In such cases, we will ensure that adequate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with GDPR regulations.
Website visitor identification and marketing data
We use LeadPost, a third‑party website visitor identification and data‑enrichment service, to help us understand interest in Legacy Beach Homes and communicate with prospective guests. When you visit this website, a tracking pixel may process technical and visit information such as your IP address, browser or device information, cookie or device identifiers, the pages you view, timestamps, and the referring website.
LeadPost may use identification signals and third‑party data sources to associate a website visit with contact or household information, which may include a name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and demographic or household ranges. Not every visitor or visit can be matched.
We use this information to analyze website and marketing performance, respond to apparent interest in our vacation homes, and conduct advertising, remarketing, or direct marketing where permitted by law. We share website‑visit information with LeadPost only as needed to provide these services.
You may contact us through our Contact Us page to ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you, or to request that we stop using it for direct marketing. Browser privacy settings, tracking‑protection tools, and content blockers may also limit tracking technologies.
Advertising measurement and your privacy choices
We use the Meta Pixel for limited advertising measurement on eligible United States visits from Facebook and Instagram. We do not send Meta guest names, email addresses, phone numbers, stay dates, selected prices, payment information, or reservation details. The events are limited to a page visit and a confirmed display of a current rate quote.
Meta measurement is disabled for visitors outside the United States, when a browser sends Global Privacy Control, and when you opt out on this browser. Eligible United States events are sent with Meta’s Limited Data Use option. Our first‑party website analytics may still record session, campaign, page, and booking‑flow activity under the practices described in this policy.
Checking browser measurement choice
Your choice applies to this browser for 395 days. Clearing browser data or using another browser or device may require another choice. You can also enable Global Privacy Control in a supported browser.
